The finals of the walmley social summer snooker duly took place on Thursday 4th October. It was a night of double celebration for 'B' team player and member Paul Geary. Paul took the singles final and then followed it up by winning the doubles with his partner Alan Rooke. In the singles final Paul overcame Albert Davey conceding 14 points per frame, and then in the doubles final he and partner Alan Rooke fianlly completed victory on the last pink against John Ronan and Eddie Williams (father in law of Geoff Horsfield). this is the first time Paul has managed to get over the line having lost in numerous previous finals. He is pictured above on the left with Alan Rooke together with their trophies.
