2 ENTRY

Entry in to the club for guests is only allowed up to 10: 30 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and 11:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

3 ACCESS

No one may enter a room that caries a charge whithout first paying that fee.

4 LOANS

A member may loan up to £20 at any one time, This loan must be repaid in full within 7 days, or the member may be subject to disciplinary action.

5 CHEQUES

A member may cash a cheque or pay by cheque to the sum of £50 in any one 24 hour day. If the cheque should fail to be honoured the amount will be considered a loan from the original date of payment.

6 DEBT TO THE CLUB

A member in debt to the club will cease to have any rights within the club except that of access. i.e. voting, nomination, signing in of guests, entering competitions etc.

7 DELEGATION

In the absence of the President, and the secretary, the President will delegate his authority to a vice President and in their absence a committee man for any matter concerning the governance of the club

8 BRINGING IN FOOD FOR CONSUMPTION ON THE CLUB PREMISES

No food may be consumed on the club premises unless purchased from the club without the consent of the steward

9 OPENING HOURS


The opening hours of the club are

Monday - Thursday 7.00 pm - 12.00 mid-night
Friday and Saturday evening 7.00 pm - 12.30 mid-night
Sunday evening 7:30 pm - 11:30pm
Saturday day 12.00 mid-day - 2.30 pm
Sunday day 12.00 mid-day - 3.00 pm

The licensing (bar opening) hours are:
Monday - Thursday evening 7.00 pm - 11.00 pm - Friday and Saturday evening 7.00 pm - 12.00 pm - Sunday evening 7:30 - 11:00 - Saturday day 12.00 mid-day - 2.30 pm Sunday day 12.00 mid-day - 2.30 pm

These may change in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the committee.

10 MOBILE PHONES

Members are requested to switch off their mobile phones while in the club house, continued use of these phones will be considered a serious breech of cub etiquette and disciplinary proceedings could follow.

11 CONCERT ROOM HIRE AND COST

The concert room (and other rooms of the club) are available for the booking of private parties or gatherings organised by a member, or for a member, at time when the room is not in use by the club. The organising member or nominating member IS responsible for the conduct of ALL the party members. All non members must be signed in Rules on signing in. There is a £100.oo fee (refundable on a sliding scale in the case of members) to cover addition costs, damages and breakages should they arise. The guest fee is waived at these functions subject to the rules on signing in.

12 SIGNING IN

The concert room (and other rooms of the club) are available for the booking of private parties or gatherings organised by a member, or for a member, at time when the room is not in use by the club. The organising member or nominating member IS responsible for the conduct of ALL the party members. All non members must be signed in o n the forms provided.

13 SPECIAL VISITORS RULE

In addition to the above, persons attending the following functions may also be admitted to the club at the discretion of the committee: -

a) Member's Private Parties Special occasions of a personal or family nature including, but not limited to, wedding receptions or private parties organized by the committee or by an individual member of the club. The member shall submit a form(s) to the secretary in advance of the function on which he will print the names of all persons invited to attend the function. Each guest will sign against their name as they enter the club and the member will sign each page to confirm their authenticity. There will be no charge for non- members provided the member opts to pay the standing room charge. However the member may, if he so wishes, in lieu of the standing charge, opt for those of his guests who are non- members to be charged the guest fee as they enter the club.

b) Visiting Sporting Teams Such functions of a competitive or sporting nature involving members, officials and supporters of visiting teams provided a representative team from the club itself is participating.

c) Special Functions In accordance with Section 49 of the Licensing Act 1964 a special function may be held at the club on no more than 12 occasions in any 12 month period provided all profits from that function accrue to the club. On such occasions persons who are not members of the club may be admitted without having to be signed in by a member. However a member of the committee will be present and will be responsible for ensuring that everyone present abides by the rules of the club.

On each of the three above occasions:-
a)
The restrictions of Rule 34 regarding the 'sale' of alcohol will not apply. Alcohol may be sold to persons who are not members under the provisions of Section 49 Licensing Act 1964. The function will have been approved and minuted by the committee.

14 PROPOSING NEW MEMBERS

A member who has been a fully paid up member for at least 1 year may propose only 1 person for membership in any twelve­month period. Following application the prospective member will appear before the committee who will decide on his suitability to be a member of the club. If accepted the new member can enjoy all the advantages of membership immediately his joining fees and subscription has been paid. If rejected the candidate will not be allowed back into the club at any time. The final ballot will be secret and no reason for the committees' decision will be given. An applicant who is unsuccessful in his attempt to become a member may reapply after a minimum period of 12 months from the date of his previous application meeting.

An applicant unknown by any member or unable to be proposed by any member by way of the member having used up his application rites for that year, may write to the secretary and upon supplying 2 referees be interviewed by the committee and if found to be suitabe be entered into the new members procedure by being proposed and seconded b y the committee (the Presedent and the Secretary)
