This by law of the club supersedes all previous versions.
Walmley Social Club is, as it has always been, a gentleman's club and as such requires a smart if casual mode of dress at all times. To clarify this the following shall apply :-
NO! Trainers or pumps
NO Jeans of any colour or material (for clarity, trousers have double stitched seams and rivets are deemed to be Jeens)
NO Tracksuit Tops or Bottoms or trousers tucked into socks
NO 'Tee' shirts (polo necked shirts are permitted)
NO Sporting type shirts i.e. football, rugby, hockey
NO Shirts having large logo's
NO Shorts unless tailored.
NO Hats to be worn in the club
NO Overalls of any description*
NO Working clothes that are dirty and or soiled.*
Relaxation of this code will only be permitted at the discretion of the Management Committee and clearly posted as such and also to which rooms the relaxation applies.
In the absence of such a notice this dress code will apply to all rooms and all persons in the club.
The two items shown with * will apply at all times and will not be subject to any relaxation notice.
The present practice of warning members and their guests of contravention of the dress code will continue until the end of August 2002. From September 1st. 2002 Members and or their guests who do contravene the dress code will be refused permission to enter the club or be asked to leave the club. Staff will be asked not to serve these people.
